1. Inform your current water supplier of your moving date providing a forwarding address for your final bill.
2. Inform the supplier of your new home of your move date.
3. Check water meter readings at both address (if water meter is present).

Check your water meter

If you have a water meter, make sure you take a reading on the day you move out. Call the water company before you move into the new property to find out if it has a water meter - they will also tell you where it is located.

Water meters allow you to be charged on what you actually use rather than an estimated usage. If you would like a water meter fitted at your address call your new water company for details.
